I don't care for Trump either but what you just said is that no one in the picture should be smiling labeling all of them as insensitive.  However, you have forgiven everyone, with the exception of Donald and Melania, because you think they might be desensitized from working in a hospital. Searching for another datum of disapproval in ever picture is how it appears.      Everyone smiles in pictures today.     That thumbs up though...

In Kate Anderson Browers book on First Ladies, I'd suggest everyone go read the section on Betty Ford visiting ghastly third world children's hospitals and how she was coached to react before she went inside. It's profound.


I think I've noted this item before . . .
 The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

It's all about framing and spin. They should not have taken a photo like this, they should have put photos, unposed of Trump talking to them and appearing to console them. Press Secretary's office fucked up.
