I don't know if Danica Patrick's record means that women are better at endurance running though. There's other marathon records set by men from Kenya or Ethiopia.
According to google
Quote:In the marathon running world, the ratio of male participants to female participants is about 60 percent men to 40 percent women. In the running world, the average male time of four hours and 29 minutes remains faster than the average female time of four hours and 59 minutes.
I found this article about women being "better" at men than running, which still says men are faster at endurance running, but women are better at pacing themselves in a specific part of the race, it seems like a stretch to say women are better when males are still actually performing better.
- All though men are faster marathon runners than women (due to genetics) they are not the smartest. Women are 18,61% better at pacing.
That's pretty much all I can find, men are finishing marathons faster, women maintain a more constant pace during the marathon.
Very smart runners. That 18.61% better pacing does wonders for the result. 30 minutes extra or something like that.

Isn't it amusing that in many sports "subs" are a thing? We let a guy sprint -part- of a marathon and then hand the baton to a fresh, rested person. We sub out tired linemen in pro ball. If they were made to stay in from start to finish...there is strong reason to assume that, like all endurance sports, the metrics would begin to tilt female in direct proportionality to the time of exertion and prolonged experience of pain.
We may be better at different things..but this is precisely what makes any blanket declaration of gender "athleticism" meaningless. Very few sports, even, are just the ditsillation of a single quality, and even when they are (I used power lifting earlier) female competitors crush the majority of men regardless.
female competitors crush the majority of men in the world, or crush the majority of male competitors at power lifting? One matters, the other one doesn't. I crush the majority of men at push ups and I'm not very good at them.

Your google analysis is lazy. The preponderance of males in sporting events, by the base mechanics of averages, throws the averages, and the averages are irrelevant to record-holders regardless.

The vast preponderance of men in the events shows that..oif anything, males are over-represented ands the stats, even as slim as they are, may be misleading.
I don't think there is much point in gender declaration in marathon running. There's no harm in the competitors declaring their gender, as in having man or woman next to their name, but I don't see the point in having separate marathons necessarily.
You said women are better at women at endurance running, that's what I disagree with. If the example you're putting forth contains a race where the top 3 competitors were men then it still isn't a good example.
I already provided a race where a female won the whole competition against men, and I still don't think that is enough evidence to say that women are better than men at endurance running because of all the other records smashed by men in endurance running.

In itself it isn't...but the fact that a trend expresses itself in endurance events combined with the biochemical explanation of -why- is. The reason, such as it is, the men beat women in physical competitions..to some extent, comes down to the duration of the competition, not the presence or absence of penis. We can cover for our disparity through violence of action (early aggression securing an insurmountable lead, for example)........but that's pretty much the same as a short guy in basketball covering for his lack of height by better foot and ball work.
Not that I;d want to be one of those poor fuckers. I enjoyed being the jolly white giant in highschol ball with shitty footwork and clumsy hands. All I had to do was stuff the shit out of showboats. Which of us, just between the boys..was more "athletic".........? Guards, or Forwards?

Which gender is inherently more "athletic"...........on those grounds?
females are better at endurance? endurance events results beg to differ
Yeah I don't know what Khem thinks he is rambling on about, but it's complete ignorance.
As a cross country runner (pure endurance and distance, sometimes we would train running 15 mile courses) I can most certainly say the men are way better at distance running. It's not a mystery, just compare times between male and female runners. Google is your friend.

As a cross country runner (pure endurance) I can most certainly say the men are way better.
Real life results and experiences are meaningless apparently, because THEORETICALLY females are supposed to be better at endurance. Even though the top 3 in the world are male. We still somehow conclude females are better at it.

Facts seem to fly out the window when people are trying to be PC or "fair", or otherwise want to excuse something.
That's why I think it's impossible to argue with certain people here about particular subjects including this one. Facts don't matter to them.

Yep, thats me...I don't know nothin bout no distance running...I should google it, lol.
What a nob.
Just so I have this straight. The fact that there are three men in the world faster than the fastest known woman is indicative of men being faster than women...but the fact that there are -only- three men in the world faster than than the fastest women means........nothing.........?
How the fuck are you people organizing your conclusuions, honestly, lol?
