Sigh...as a former college offensive lineman with about 11 concussions too many... I have to actually agree with Huggy on something, somewhat. I never really understood the chest-beating by fans of football and rugby about which is manlier or tougher. And note it's almost always fans of the sports, not the players, that resort to that sort of stupid stuff. I played a shit ton of football and a little of rugby. Both are tough as hell.
One thing rugby probably DOES have up over football though - just based on the regions in which it's played..probably more atheist rugby players!

Yeah, I am Republican, but not American Republican. I feel this has to be translated much alike American football, to real football. The one you use your feet in a ball instead of or hand on an egg.
Oh, goodie.... no more Denmark!
Actually, the term soccer is a British one.
And they are all football - as in played on foot. As opposed to sports played on horseback.... way back when, in Britain, that seemed like a sensible distinction... or so the tale I was told goes...
The football we call football and americans now call soccer is actually "association football" (hence, FIFA - Federation International de Football Association - yeah, it's in French).
Rugby is actually "Rugby Football", originating at Rugby School in Rugby, Warwickshire, England.
And then you have the obvious American football, as an evolution of Rugby, with some rules of association football thrown in.
And there you go... What on Earth made these guys think it was a good idea to have the equivalent of fights disguised as a sport?
But there you have them... rugby and America football are both barbaric to my eyes... but, I guess, like with the old gladiators, people do like to see others fighting among themselves and will pay good money for it.

I'ts also worth noting that American football and association football originated at approximately the same time and were very close to the same game at the time. American football evolved in an entirely different direction. American football seems oddly named if you don't know that history.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled semantic argument.

Rugby/rugby league are eggball.
American football is either wimpy or armoured eggball.
Aussie rules is stupid eggball.
I was actually quite good at rugby. Ah, the feel of crunching living bone, just about brings a tear to my eye. I was better at it than football. I have big feet, hard to foot-ball with them.

If it's the middle finger, I have a suggestion.

Delicate work might be out of the question, but you can use a damn hacksaw, can't you?

Some atheists believe that there are no gods.
Most atheists don't.
Huggy thinks "some" means "all" and calls his inability to understand the English language a victory.
Am I missing something?!

(February 2, 2018 at 1:21 pm)Fake Messiah Wrote: I think it is very obvious that Bible was written by many, many people over the years who didn't even read what people before them wrote so there are so many inconsistencies that for every claim in the Bible you can find the opposite claim or place of happening. Like, most Christians if you ask them will tell you that Moses got commandments on Mount Sinai and yet in some parts of the Bible it is claimed he got them on Mount Horeb 1 Kings 8.9 "There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb."
Malachi 4.4 "Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments."
And that's how it is about everything from is lying ok or not, stealing, hating, adultery, divorce, nature of god character, who is ruling the world (sometimes it's Satan) and so on and on. So it is impossible to live by the Bible not only because it's frequently barbaric, but because it's contradictory. *emphasis mine*
He's right though. You can't literally live by the whole bible because its commands are contradictory.
Is this thread just going to turn into Huggy shaming himself with his own idiotic and invalid posts?

Indeed gnostic and positive atheism exist .But their far from the majority . And indeed i love how huggy has resorted to lame sitcom gifs as a valid refutation .
