Richard Dawkins claims we should eat lab-grown human meat

RE: Richard Dawkins claims we should eat lab-grown human meat
You would only be infected with a prion disease if the human meat was infected. Same as any other contagious disease. Human meat grown in a lab would most likely be free of such pathogens. I like this idea, go full Hannibal Lector guilt free!! You would not even have to go on the lam (pun intended).
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!

Cool, expect that's not what he said at all.

"What if human meat is grown? Could we overcome our taboo against cannibalism? An interesting test case for consequentialist morality versus “yuck reaction” absolutism."

He's asked whether we could bring ourselves to do this, as a psychological question. He's not saying we need to make human burgers a thing.

I don't understand why people like to take things out of context and then be offended by them. It's really quite annoying.

If its grown in a lab is it "human" meat.

I can't believe he really said that. Wow, makes me wonder if his age has affected his brain.

I think he was really only advocating cloned animal not human meat, but still. If he was really advocating cloning human tissue for food, fuck that.

The prion diseases like CJD are associated with brain and neural matter so just a bit of bicep shouldn't affect you.

I eat my scabs. Does that count?

Plus, I'm willing to share.

Yeah I was about to say the same. Eating human meat can do some weird shit to your blood and be dangerous. You figure a biologist would know that. Let's keep cannibalism taboo please.

On behalf of the vast majority of atheists, that Tweet is a huge "WHAT THE FUCK" even for us.

I can only guess as to why he would say something that stupid.

1. He meant we should accept cloned animal meat, but didn't chose his words wisely.

Or.

2. He slipped in the bathtub and hit his head, or he is slowly becoming the next Anthony Flew.

I can't figure it out. But making one boneheaded statement does not negate his prior work.

I can say though, might be a good time for atheist never again to use "EAT ME" or "BITE ME".

Is he having slow book sales? Does he want to compete with Alex Jones?

I loved his book "The God Delusion", but that Tweet is something I'd expect out of a conspiracy rag like "Bat Boy" "World Nut Daily".

Cannibalism is part of evolution, that part is true, but that does not make it desirable. Tornados are part of nature, but sane people don't want to be in it's path.

I seriously hope on his part it was a misstatement on his part, because that made no fucking sense.

How about NO!

Incest can be risk free too, under certain conditions, but so what?

I don't want to fuck my sister and I don't want to eat human meat or cloned human meat, even if criminal murder is not involved.

Glad however to see that atheists do not buy 100% of his crap meat.  Smile
