Jesus : The Early years

RE: Jesus : The Early years
um . . . .

Nazareth or Bethlehem ??

He can't be from both.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Nobody ever calls him jesus of bethlehem.  Amusing when you look at the absurd mental gyrations Luke went through to have him born there!

Sounds like the makings of a bad TV show, "Jesus: The Early Years"

Episode One: Bethlehem Daze.
Dying to live, living to die.

Haha! You made me think of "Dennis the Menace" style shenanigans from our tiny apocalyptic prophet.

Quote:46 After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers.

Luke 2 - 46-47

Quote:I was my self brought up with my brother, whose name was Matthias: for he was my own brother, by both father and mother; and I made mighty proficiency in the improvements of my learning; and appeared to have both a great memory, and understanding. Moreover, when I was a child, and about fourteen years of age, I was commended by all for the love I had to learning; on which account the High Priests, and principal men of the city came then frequently to me together, in order to know my opinion about the accurate understanding of points of the law.

Josephus, Life  Chapter 2

In case anyone was wondering where fucking "Luke" stole this idea from.

For the sake of this argument, let's assume some accuracy in their telling of Jesus's adult ministry. We do not have to argue about eyewitnesses, miracles, resurrections, or ascensions. Let's argue about the life of Jesus before the age of twelve. How did the writers gather this "historical" data?
