Looking to get back into listening to some good quality debates and discussions again. I personally enjoyed listening to atheists such as Sam Harris and the late Christopher Hitchens argue far more than others such as Dawkins or Krauss. Thoughts?

I wouldn't really call him an "atheist spokesperson" since the terminology was so confused back when he was still alive and speaking (more so than it is now), Carl Sagan was a fantastic source of pro-skepticism, pro-science, anti-bullshit critical thinking. He claimed to be an agnostic, and showed that religion and god were utterly unnecessary to investigate, learn about, and explain our reality. He of course didn't have the sort blistering literary incisions that someone like Hitchens did, but as far as a 'face' for a non-religious, pro-science worldview, Sagan was one of the best.
In every country and every age, the priest had been hostile to Liberty.

We are not collectively a business, we are not collectively a lobby, we are not collectively a political party, we are not collectively a religion, we are not collectively a economic view. We are diverse in our views so if you want to know what an atheist thinks on a specific topic, you have to ask that individual atheist. A better word might be "personality". I like Dawkins for his work, but personally I think he is too much of a stuffed shirt. I like Christopher Hitchens, but he was a bit of a warhawk. I like Sam Harris, but I get a severe lip twitch when he starts peddling Buddhism. I like Neil Degrasse Tyson too. Ayaan Hersi Ali is one tough lady, but I really don't know anything about her economic views. I like stage illusionist Penn, of Penn and Teller, but I hate his libertarian economic views. The only thing atheists have in common is "off" on God/god/s/deity/super natural claims. Outside that we are just as diverse in our educations, classes and nationalities and former religions.
Out of the "four horsemen", I think Hitchens was by far the best debater.
If you're looking for someone to defend the view that God is nonsense you can do no better than our own Khem.
God and his book, hands down.
Does it have hands?
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
No one. I'd call the people you're thinking of "prominent atheists". I'd go with Hitchins.

To save the trouble of a long list...the religious are the best spokesmen for atheism. They've done the most important works, and turned the most people away from god. Hell must be bursting at the seams with believers by now.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
