Arguments for God in Quran.

What argument, where? The Quran, like all other holy books... 1. Don't contain arguments. 2. Aren't trying to contain arguments.

They all start by the premise that the book is a relevation from God, and then they contain a load of stories and moral commands that make no sense.

They do NOT contain arguments.

Quote:I began to look at the arguments against Deism, and found it had sound arguments against Deism.

Where? Lol. There aren't any arguments in the Quran at all. Present one fucking argument rather than just quoting from scripture.

Hammy, I don't think you would be able to perceive a proof if it literally hit you in the head!

It elaborates what it summarizes and summarizes what it elaborates.

In the past you provided poor highly verbose arguments with an unnecessarily large number of premises (many of the premises were just paraphrasings of the other premises).

Now you've taken a step backwards and can't even make an argument anymore, it seems. Quoting random scripture isn't an argument, it's preaching a load of nonsense to atheists who don't give a shit about it because it's a load of nonsense.

You don't give a crap.

Maybe others who are less talkative are more interested.

Mystic, at some point, began to believe that an "argument" was a synonym for a magic spell.  He thinks that if he says what the book literally tells him to say..just right.......it will turn people into believers.

Magic book ate his brain.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Here's a logical argument:

1. All men are mortals
2. I am a man.
3. Therefore I am mortal

This however is not an argument:

Quote:Don't bother warning the disbelievers. Allah has made it impossible for them to believe so that he can torture them forever after they die. 2:6-7
Allah has sickened the hearts of disbelievers and increased their disease. He is a spiritual anti-doctor. 2:10
If you try to compose a surah that is better than those in the Quran, and then fail, Allah will burn you forever if you in the fire that he has prepared for disbelievers, whose fuel is men and stones. 2:24
Allah will shed human blood while angels praise him in heaven. (The angels question why Allah has to kill people; Allah says they'd understand if they knew everything like he does.) 2:30
They who disbelieve, and deny Our revelations, such are rightful Peoples of the Fire. They will abide therein." 2:39
There will come a day when Allah will refuse all prayers and help no one. 2:48
Allah brags about drowning the Egyptian army. 2:50
"Whosoever hath done evil and his sin surroundeth him; such are rightful owners of the Fire." 2:81
Christians and Jews (who believe in only part of the Scripture), will suffer in this life and go to hell in the next. 2:85
"They have incurred anger upon anger. For disbelievers is a shameful doom." 90

It's a load of random nasty shit from the godawful book, the Quran.

You know me best out of most Atheists. You are right, it's exactly that. Wink

Reason is magical, and so is irrationality, order vs chaos, light vs darkness, knowledge vs ignorance.

The "Boo!" approach to evangelism. Wink

Stop talking about reason and employ some. Is it too much to ask that a thread you made about arguments for a god contained some arguments? Simple truth in advertising, right? I'll take a -shitty- argument.
