To lose a church hurts, but in this situation we wouldn't want them a part of the SBC. If they see love as a leftist agenda then they need to find out who Jesus is.

Most humans get sold the religion of their parents at birth WORLDWIDE prior to having adult critical thinking skills.

What makes you think ANY deity is required to do good and be good? I'd argue that our behaviors be they good or bad, as a species, isn't regulated from above from some fictional super natural "force" anymore than Yoda and Darth Vader exist.
