Seriously, I hope that advice is from a licensed tax accountant or lawyer. Not saying you are wrong, but for the general public, it is well known you still have to file even if you own nothing.
If your income is below a certain amount, you have no legal obligation to file. This fact is clearly spelled out in the relevant tax instructions.

I do corporate and partnership taxes, not individual, but...yeah, that's correct.

I never understood why people put off paying their taxes. I assume for most, it's nothing or a refund. Why put that off or dread it?

LOL, I have an appointment next Monday (IANMTU) with tax preparer regarding a form for my return next year I need filled out now.

Our taxes aren't due until July. I think. Sometime in July, yeah, that sounds right. I'll know for sure when the missus screams at me from the other room 'YOU CAN'T DEDUCT $800 SPENT ON AN AUTOGRAPHED GUITAR PICK AS A BUSINESS EXPENSE, CLOD!!'
