It was a Catholic Hospital so they had a crucifix over my bed, which was amusing. They also read psalms over the PA system every morning, which was annoying. I can confirm I neither felt the healing power of the Lord, had any kind of out of body or religious experience, and am quite glad that modern medicine saved me. Big Grin

Does the surgeon sit in an adjacent control room kinda like the drone pilots?

I'm not quite sure, I just saw the robot in the operating theater, I didn't see it being used. It had about 6 arms with various instruments in them and some cameras. I think the surgeon is probably nearby and looking at both the monitors and me.

I did not. That thing can get trashed.

Why are you people conspiring to take jobs away from blood thirsty qualified surgeons?

See, this is another example of robots taking over.

Don't come crying to me when they robots have you caged in an extermination camp, and say I didn't warn you all!

So, how are you feeling?

Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni:

"You did WHAT?  With WHO?  WHERE???"

ROFLOL
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

To be fair, there was a highly trained surgeon controlling the robot every step of the way. You're not obsolete yet. Tongue

I'm feeling OK, on some pain meds, just recovering.

For as much kudos as I can get.

6 arms and cameras. That would be really cool if it wasn't so terrifying. Hopefully they put you out before you saw it move.

As long as we're just talking kudos, darling. Your chores are still due on time.

I didn't see it move, but I don't think I would have minded if I had. It's just so cool that they can do the surgery without "opening me up" with a long cut, and the recovery time is massively reduced.

Yet another example of "god" the perfect designer!

Feel better soon.  Make Shell wait on you for a few days.

Did you ask how the control system works? Are there programmed movements (like for suture from point a to point b)? I wonder if there is a big red button to stop everything like there is as gas stations.
