Cosmos may show echoes of events before Big Bang
Quote:Renowned cosmologist Roger Penrose said that analysis of this cosmic microwave background showed echoes of previous Big Bang-like events.

The events appear as "rings" around galaxy clusters in which the variation in the background is unusually low.

RE: Cosmos may show echoes of events before Big Bang
The statements in the Bbc article seems to imply not only that we can detect evidence of events prior to the big bang, but also we can assume those events were governed by a similar set of universal physical constants, such as strength of gravity relative to other fundamental forces, as ours. If not, then it seems to me that it would be impossible to say the rings of smoothness around galaxy clusters must have come from merger of black holes in previous eons.
