They also find hope in fictional characters such as Santa Clause, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny. I wouldn't place the hopes of children on what is or isn't real.

Christians are persecuted in places where they are the minority... like in India, or Iran, or Israel.
Atheists are persecuted in places where they are the minority.... like most of America.
According to your post history, it seems that you are strongly biased towards the American point of view. Maybe you should use that brain of yours to encompass a broader mindset... one that considers the whole world, the whole of mankind.
