Well at least proceedings showed that the likes of Behe had nothing worthwhile to add to biology.  In fact as Behe was under oath he had to admit that irreducable complexity was a lie. So the trial wasn't a total waste, it forced liars and idiots to face the truth for once and admit evolution was the only game in town.

The fact that consciousness is difficult to define means that it's a lousy criteria for classification, which is why nobody uses it. If you use poorly defined criteria then all of your classifications reduce to mere opinions.

All of those animals are conscious except perhaps sponges (that are basically plants too- yeah I said it). What exactly makes someone like you think they aren't?

He is saying macroevolution does not seem possible at the molecular level and no scientist in the world is able to explain to him how it possibly could be, so he is very skeptical of it and thinks science should be more honest about its huge gaps in knowledge.

That is left to the parents because there is a separation of church and state (at least here in the United States) but the country of Turkey and the country of Israel have both decided to stop teaching evolution in their public schools. This was the first semester without it for Turkey.

Boo -fucking - hoo. The vast majority of scientists accepts evolution because it has overwhelming supporting evidence. It is testable, verifiable, and observable. Whereas ID is accepted by some people who don't have qualifications in the required field and perhaps a handful of people who do.
