I suppose if you think the implication there is no good reason to believe in the existence of the very god whose alleged inspired words this book is alleged to be does not conflict with the book.
The question is do you believe in a system that checks and corrects itself against reality or a system that failed each serious check it has been put to but threatens you if your faith in it shows any sign of flagging as a result of ethers failures.

Yes, really. Magic book explicitly apologizes for its Tyre prophecy fuckup, and doesn;t say a thing about irreducible complexity or genetics. It still gets shit wrong, sure...but a christian doesn;t -have- to get shit wrong this way. It;s not an inevitability of a christian faith that people be this stupid. Its an individual choice.
