Lawnton Fire Company suspended over racial slurs, bullying

"A Swatara Township fire company is suspended and no longer responding to calls after an investigation into reports that some members were being subjected to racial slurs, harassment and bullying. 

Director of Fire Services Mike Ibberson said the Lawnton Fire Company was taken out of service on May 31. It is prohibited from responding to calls or participating in any EMS operations in Swatara Township until further notice.  

Although a complaint of bullying was the catalyst for the suspension, Ibberson said there have been other issues with the fire company for months, such as lack of trained staff and failure to respond to numerous calls. The company had dwindled to about 10 active members in recent years, Ibberson said."

White man loses job after calling police on black family at pool

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A white man who challenged a black family’s use of a private community’s pool has not only resigned from the homeowners association board — he’s lost his job.

Sonoco announced Friday that Adam Bloom is no longer employed by the packaging and industrial products company, saying it doesn’t condone discrimination of any kind, even if it happens outside its workplace.

I do sort of like what the Police Chief said.  We need more of that and maybe an arrest or two.

Police Chief Catrina Thompson warned that her officers “will not be used as pawns to further someone’s dislike for anyone.”

Maybe a good idea would be that when your police get one of these 'I see scary black people' calls, they should send ONLY black cops to respond.  That should slow things right the fuck down.

Man Calls Skateboarding Teen ‘Mexican Piece Of S**t,’ Admits He’s Being Racist

"In yet another instance of a white person confronting people of color on camera for some real or imagined infraction, a man was filmed yelling a racist insult at teens skateboarding in a corporate parking lot in San Pedro, California, on June 28.

Local station KTTV points out there are lots of “no skateboarding” signs in the lot, but in the video, one of the boys says they skate there every Wednesday.

The man in the video starts yelling at the kids and claiming he has the “authority” to “do a police arrest” because they’re trespassing.

I'm hardly surprised.  First, it's little girls selling bottled water, then black people using swimming pools or barbecuing.  Now, we've got teenagers on skateboards, fer chrissake.

Next thing you know, it'll be toddlers riding tricycles or puppies piddling on lampposts.  We must stop this madness before it destroys us all.

White property manager fired after calling police on black family because man was 'wearing socks'

Another day, another strange racist calling the police on a black family in a public setting for no good reason. This time it is Tennessee, and an apartment complex pool where (now former) community manager Erica Walker decided that resident Kam Porter and her boyfriend needed a talking to. On July 4, Porter, her boyfriend, and two godchildren, went to the pool. Porter’s boyfriend was wearing socks, sitting on the side of the pool, watching the kids play in the water. According to a Facebook post, Porter explained that Walker came over to admonish him twice, leading to Porter asking what was wrong. When Walker explained that the pool had a no socks, hats, none-swim attire in the pool rule—Porter pointed out that virtually everyone else there, in the water, were wearing hats and T-shirts, and basketball shorts. The only difference here seemed to be that Kam Porter, her boyfriend and the two little kids were the only black people at the pool.

Ah yes.  The essence of the problem.

She, like many white people in these scenarios, are just annoyed that black people are around and in white people’s spaces. At their most benign, these white people are “uncomfortable” sharing spaces with black people, and at their worst they are so angered by black people that they are willing to put lives in danger to not have to face their own fears.

According to WREG13, the management company sent them this message, saying Ms. Walker has been fired from her position.
