Wells Fargo tellers call the cops on elderly black bank manager for attempting to cash a check

With the spate of white people calling police on people of color for doing everyday things like grilling and selling water bottles, an elderly black woman in Florida is suing Wells Fargo after staff at one of its banks called the cops on her when she tried to cash a check.

Barbara Carroll told the Miami New-Times that late last November, she went to a Wells Fargo location in Fort Lauderdale to cash a check for $140. Carroll, who is an assistant manager at another bank, said she was forced to wait two-and-a-half hours and had both her check and her driver’s license taken away because the bank suspected she’d forged the check.

At least this time the cops appear to have defused the issue instead of shooting everyone in sight.

"Mission Impossible" actor Ving Rhames says California police officers pulled a gun on him in his own home after a neighbor called 911 to report a "large black man" breaking in.

"I open the door [and] there's a red dot pointed at my face from a 9 mm, and they say, 'Put up your hands!' he said during the interview.

The harrowing experience, which happened two years ago, was set in motion after one of Rhames' neighbors called police because, Rhames and police said, they noticed a large African American man entering the home and thought it was a burglary in progress.

A contractor in Ohio who followed a black man home and called him the N-word repeatedly tried to write it all off as an “awful mistake” — saying the racist rant drove him out of business and ruined his life.

Jeffrey Whitman, who owns Uriah’s Heating and Cooling in Powell, was driving his company van last Tuesday in Columbus when he accused another driver of cutting him off and followed the driver, Charles Lovett, for nearly two miles to his home — where the contractor launched into the racist tirade.
