It's a new dawn and a new day and I still hear yammy. The only time I heard Laurel is when the pitch is lowered in that explanation video. I think I've covered all the variables now on which way I can listen to it.
I think it's a really cool video though I'm going to look more in depth into the explanation when I'm bored in work today, I might show it around and see what everyone else hears. I think this explanation is more in depth than the other ones I've watched. Basically the original clip says Laurel, it's been distorted to include high frequency sounds in it that make it say yanny, if your ears still hear high frequencies then you hear yanny. (I still hear yammy) There's a hearing test hear to see how high you can actually hear. I got inbetween "fantastic" and "you must be kidding me" with headphones on it's between "you must be kidding me" and "no way" I think the titles of each level are a bit exaggerated. . I don't know if this has any relevence to the laurel yanny thing but judging by the comments in this video people had watched this after watching the laurel yanny video. Are you ready for the fire?
