Try messing with the speed in the video's settings. The slower you make it, the more likely you are to hear "laurel." Increase the speed to hear "yanny."

I don't know how to do that, but I have no doubt it works. But it's interesting if priming can also effect it... if Losty can hear both in the same video at different times, for instance. I'm not sure though... I don't think there was any priming in the first one - you have an equal choice and it just starts saying it. Second one - your one - might be a bit more primey... not sure.

So interesting. So it's down to background frequencies in the specific recording then lol.

I thought people were saying that just anybody saying "Laurel" sounds like "Yanny" to some people and I was like whatttttttttttttttt Yanny and Hardy?!?!?

Does this mean the guy who plays House is Hugh Yannel to some people?!

The wife and I both hear yanny. The dogs hear "treat". 

But then, most of their words = treat or park. If I would have been holding keys they would have heard park.

I heard Laurel last night and I heard Yanny this morning. I played it to a friend who heard Yanny while at the same time I was hearing Laurel.

On PC, click on the cog in the bottom right corner (settings). From there you will see the speed setting.
