The system of educaction has to be changed

I have an electrical engineering degree and I can confirm there are a lot of unnecessary sections. While my field was power engineering (high voltage substations and transmission lines). I had to do electronics too which was a pain.
On average, people change professions 8 times throughout the course of their working lives. Higher education is meant to prepare you for life, not just a career. Only being able to think and operate within the idiom of your specialty will not provide you with the tools you need to live a successful and meaning filled life. That requires teaching you how to think. Something you won't learn by cloistering yourself within your specialty.
Hey, if you think that sucks. Try being in a system that wants you to do "research" for every type of undergrad diploma.

By classes I dont like I mean classes within my specialty, such as programming in assemble language. Hate that shit. And in fact I do read about history, etc... My complain is about the fact that since I hate that kind of class, I would never work doing that. So it is time wasted.
One thing education provides is training in delivering a product we don't want to work on, on schedule. That is actually going to be most of your life's work. I personally think that a well-rounded education is a good thing. Good luck changing the direction of that juggernaut.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
People don't generally stroll on out of Plato's cave. Sometimes they have to be dragged. It's an unpleasant experience on the whole, but those who make it out are thankful once they clear the threshold. The gift of knowledge is the greatest gift there is. Try not to take it for granted.

For the sake of the quality of life and the progress of humanity. I never understood the American university system where you have to take random classes unrelated to your degree in order to pass. I was educated in the UK, and my Computer Science degree had classes that were all to do with Computer Science. Given that students are paying the university for the degree, it makes little sense to force them to take classes that don't contribute to the degree subject matter. Except for philosophy, P-U.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
My all time fav of Dilbert and his engineering buddies.
