I choose to be enemies of oppressors and their supporters yes.
In cases where things are ambiguous, I will not judge. Israel is a manifest criminal and no human with an ounce of dignity can support it.

There are factions of the Islamic religion that honestly use the word jihad to mean a struggle against oneself or injustice in a peaceful sense
I'm pretty sure this is a real thing in Islam.

I still say we should just get the hell out of the Middle East and let them all get on with it.
When the dust clouds clear then we can look at the results and decide if we want to aid the survivors.
Unfortunately I suspect that a thousand civilians would die for each combatant.
But I've seen growing numbers of atheists appearing in the region, despite the oppressive nature of the religious regimes.
