Have you ever had, and a poem about it.

Have you ever been walking somewhere and suddenly found a extremely friendly cat or dog try to follow you, knowing it wasn't safe for them to do that?
Just this morning I was walking up to the coffee shop from my friends house. I had seen this particular kitten before, but the last two times it stayed behind. This morning however, it REALLY REALLY LIKED ME, and I was like, "Dude, it's not safe don't follow me." I tried to scare it away, not to be mean, but to keep it safe and near it's yard. It thought I was playing. So I'd walk it back to the yard, tell it to stay there, and then it would follow me again. This went on for 10 minutes until finally the owner came out and picked it up to my relief. I told her I love your cat but I cant have it following me.
So here is the poem I wrote about "Snickers" the cat. "Cute
Cute Stockholm Syndrome" By Brian37 (AKA Brian James Rational Poet on FB and brianrrs37 on twitter.)
I have to posit
My quandry
Give it some backstory
For the title to make sense
For my old house
Was torn down
No roof, no yard
No fence
I purchased a new home
To replace the old
But dwell at a friends house
Till the new one is done
And o what fun
That of my friend
Being adicted to the internet
Of which he has none
But I make do
Finding wi fi
At the coffee shop
That is nearby
I pass a house
On my way
A cute feline stalker
Sees me as prey
Not vicious one bit
Is this kitten
One pet of it
I became smitten
But here is the problem
In my routine
That cute little bugger
Loves to follow me
I know you like me
But please don't follow
These roads are dangerous
I don't want you ran over
So I'd try to scare him
Get him to run away
Not to harm him
But to keep him safe
When that didn't work
I'd walk back
Knowing he'd follow
Me back to his yard
But that persistant
Little cute bugger
Loved the attention
Continued to follow
So back and forth
This went on
I'd try to leave him behind
And he would follow
Oblivious and friendly
Not street savy
Like ferrel cats
Who run at your sight
Finally
To my relief
10 minutes
Of this back and forth
The owner came out
And picked him up
I smiled at her
And said "I love your cat."
The battle had ended
Not that it was
That kitten held me hostage
And a hostage I was.
