Love that picture, and unfortunately true. Sad that too many Americans cant see that we fought a war against purity and hyper nationalism.

I shot Sarah Fuckabee a tweet saying if you ever fuck with my neighbors you'll have to arrest me too.

Are your neighbors here illegally?

It's not that the left really cares for these children. For them it's an exploitation opportunity at another attempt to smear President Trump and the GOP. They even tried to post pictures of children in chain link holding pens only to find out that the picture was taken in 2014, under obama. Of course, the left ignored this since it was during obama's administration. While being detained these children will be given food and water, be given shelter, and be given medical treatment until their illegal immigrant parents face their day in court. What this shows is that the left cares more for illegals by way of exploitation than they do for our own U.S. citizens and their children. The dems are struggling for a message heading into the mid terms and they have none. Let 'em try this on the campaign trail and see how far it gets them.

Duh...

Fill out an FU-254 form, complete with US passport size photos of all asylum seekers, as well as a full criminal history report from their local police precinct. Then get that all notarized and send it to USCIS with a check for $768 dollars. Wait 6-8 months for processing, then fill out an FU-371B form and within another 6-8 months you should receive your border crossing papers.

The above is all bullshit but it's based on my own experience with immigration Tongue

Do you have any idea how emotionally and psychologically traumatizing it is to seperate a breastfed infant from its mother?  That’s cruelty of unfathomable proportions, no matter who’s administration it happens under. How can you defend such a thing? Unnecessarily harming babies for the transgressions of their parents is indefensible, IMO. But go on. Keep telling us what moral pigs we are for being pro-choice. Life is precious unless your born and/or brown, am I right? 😏

I don't give a fuck who's administration it's under it's bullshit either way and it does not matter what amenities they are given children should not be separated from their parents if it can be avoided. As for your bullshit about not caring about citizens it's just that bullshit .As for the election fuck you for making this about an election .

IIRC, that's all spelled out (or left unchanged) from the Clinton era bipartisan Congressionally approved immigration bill.

That no subsequent congress has had members of either party propose and pass new legislation doesn't really reflect on Trump does it?

Nothing stopping anybody in Congress on Monday morning of proposing a bill to fix things, and a bill designed not for feigned and disingenuous outrage by the 'other ' party, but a bill with sufficient bipartisan support to pass.

That system has worked for over 2 centuries, why aren't we advocating for it's use now other than it's more fun (for both dems and pubs) to pwn the kids than to fix the fucking problem ??

Big mistake (IMO) earlier this year to not have jumped all over the proposal to take 1.8 MILLION kids/young people/dreamers out of the politics, and that idea was DOA.

I'm not falling for the feigned outrage and disingenuous outrage from the dems now when the currently active legislation was passed with their assent, and a decent chance at fixing it lapsed earlier this year because they'd rather have bargaining chips than to get the dreamers out of their goddamn political game.

But sometimes, I think you need to take step back from whatever reasons or justifications you have for what you are doing; and ask, "Is this right".  Even if logically valid, it may not be morally valid.  And I would agree that this is most definitely one of those times.  Tearing apart a family, when it is unnecessary or especially  as a deterrent is wrong.  This policy should be rejected and discarded.  I think that there is a big problem with illegal immigration.  I can agree to having harsh (zero tolerance) policies to those who are guilty.   But I can't see where this is morally justifiable.  I've heard similar on the Breakpoint podcast recently, so hopefully, we can get this changed.

Good for you, RR.  It’s nice to see a theist with some moral sense around here, who doesn’t just stick to the script the far right feeds you.  👍

What the hell does that have to do with my comment?

I will also mention that while Ahole is Broadly correct about his claim about the Obama administration he of course distorts the details to try and form a false equivalency.

I wanted to reply to Tibs remark, and keeping a running sum of his post and the comments to it I thought was courteous since we're on page 2 now of thread. I can see that might not be the best idea I've had.
Sorry for the consolidation.
