Realistically can anything be done regarding Trumps nomination?

RE: Realistically can anything be done regarding Trumps nomination?
I'd also like to think the system is supposed to work such that folks voting no on the nomination will have some reason a little more compelling than the president has orange hair.

I also note that this outcome was found by a recent Dem presidential candidate as insufficiently concerning so as to not spur a more than lackadaisical campaign.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

the dems could win a heap of state legislative seats, governorships, Senate and House races and pass and have the required number of states approve some constitutional amendments . . . .

If I'm not mistaken, that is how the system is supposed to work.

That's how the system is supposed to work. But it doesn't seem to really work that way much these days. The last amendment was 26 years ago and that one was originally proposed in 1789. And other than acts to reauthorize existing spending programs and rename post offices, congress hasn't really gotten much done in recent years. The systems is more or less broken I'm afraid.

It isn't broken, it is apathy and lack of participation. It can work when people care.

Folks running the dem party over the last few years have seen the loss of 1000 state legislative, congressional and gubernatorial seats and persist in putting up unelectable candidates . . .

Tough to blame (or beat) the 'pubs when the problem is 'in house'.
