Well you know.... It is a business and just like Masterpiece chooses to hide behind their religion to discriminate, the tech giants stand up for what is right and mute the bullies. Fair is fair.

But as usual, the religious will cry that they are unfairly being silenced. Gotta love those double standards they have.

I would give claims of unfair banning and content removal more attention if the people making such claims weren't actively peddling hate.

I mean, there is a discussion to be had given that a handful of companies own the means with which people communicate with each other. And I'm not sure I'm comfortable with Google or any other company trying to act as a unilateral broadcast authority/regulatory body (let's face it... The internet is the TV/radio of the 21st century) given the complete lack of public oversight.

That said, I shed 0 tears for these people, Alex Jones, or any of the Nazis that have been forced off of most mainstream social media platforms (looking at you, Twitter).

On the other side of the spectrum, I hear about Youtube screwing over independent news channels. So maybe not quite as lopsided as they think.

Seems to be a business decision rather than a political decision.
