FOX Being Dragged Down By Their Anchor

Quote:Democrats are in a strong position for the midterms, according to the latest Fox News poll.
Several findings point to the potential for a blue map in November:
- President Trump’s job rating remains underwater.
- Republicans alone say the economy is in positive shape.
- The GOP tax law is less popular (40 percent favorable) than Obamacare (51 percent favorable).
- The Republican Party is less popular (39 percent favorable) than the Democratic Party (50 percent favorable).

I guess even the Foxtards are giving up on the Orange Turd.

So the Dems can slack off a little in the ongoing campaigns for Senate and House ??

Why oh why does that smell so familiar ??

I'd also note, 55% of people in the US are invested in the stock market. Anyone think they won't vote their pocket books ??

Cynically, and because I keep my eye on the news..the reason that they're running with that is the republicans are beginning to fear that the rank and file actually believe the dumpster fire in chief..actually believe that things are going well, actually believe that everybody is onboard. They actually believe that they have a majority of votes.

IOW, there's a risk of deplorable complacency, lol.

All but impossible to not be cynical or sarcastic these days . . . .

I worry about posting things that suggest we're headed for a "blue wave," for fear that doing so will encourage people to be more complacent and not vote like they did in 2016. I don't censor what I post on that account, but I hope Democrats will have learned their lesson from 2016 and not assume a victory. So there's a risk of complacency on both sides, perhaps more substantially with respect to the left.

I suggest people appeal to the more sane minority on that network like Sheppard Smith. I think that might be why you are seeing more of this. That and the POTUS constantly attacking the press. The network CEO certainly doesn't give a shit, but their field reporters, especially at their local affiliates outnumber the network anchors and are far more likely to stand with other network reporters.

45 has made a huge mistake in constantly attacking journalists and his own intel.

While the risk is present on both sides...I'll offer this.

Even with voter apathy by the dems..they still carried the popular vote handily.  We've reached a point where, by brute force of demographics..a democratic candidate becomes more and more likely to succeed.  That's the obvious point of aggressive redistricting and systematic disenfranchisement, and..obliquely, of packing benches.  While democratic voter apathy may influence a particular election....the shrinking right cannot afford to add voter apathy to their minority platform problems.

They would cease to be a party that could reliably push a nominee even though they've set the table sideways...and that failure would almost certainly lead to those table tilting measures being eradicated...or worse, set against them.

To illustrate this...I'll point out that by the time of the next presidential election, 2020....a republican nominee has only managed to secure the popular vote once over a span of 27 years....as an incumbent..under a cloud of growing suspicion (after having lost the pop in the election that made him the incumbent, ofc).

Yea, outside Hillary picking the wrong VP, and not hitting the swing states, I agree, I think part of that loss was over confidence and may have caused just enough complacency.

But not sure that is going to be the case this time. 45 is on TV every damned day pissing off the left. But, I do remind people every day not to be complacent.

I think the left is starting to do what they gave up on during the Reagan era. I think we are growing to take every day and every November seriously. The GOP has consistently won more on average since Reagan because they think every day and plan long term. If the left does that we can beat the GOP. But, we have to want it.

That might be part of his tactic too. Get the left to think, "There is no way after all that" to create that complacency. I think 16 was a one trick pony and we got burned really bad and I don't think that many on the left have forgotten.

There has been an uptick in liberal voter registrations and lots more liberals, especially women running this year.

Yea we cannot afford to be complacent.

President Good Brain went ahead and confessed to crimes on TV again, because it's his thing..I guess.  Meanwhile, the network who ran the confessionsplosion interview runs this line.

I suppose there's no point in denying what happened anymore, we're at the "and if you do anything about it we're gonna hurt you" phase of the 3rd rate mafioso drama.
