PBS is great!!

RE: PBS is great!!
I dumped cable about 4 years ago and don't miss it at all. Such a waste of money. I use a Roku 3 - which has a ton of free channels, btw - and I pay for a few streaming services. Also have an antenna for free local channels.

Sorry to hear you lost your job. How are you doing?

So cool!  Here's another great NOVA program (lots of them, to be sure):

Nova -- Judgment Day: Intelligent Design on Trial

I believe that NOVA is the longest-running science documentary series.

See if you can find "Questioning Darwin", strong stomach needed.

That's pretty much all my kids watched when they were little. They loved Clifford, Word World, and Curious George. I loved Newshour with Jim Lehrer, and everything on Sunday. The New Yankee Workshop, Bob Villa, Bob Ross, and back in the days when I was watching on the regular there was a show called Rare Visions and Roadside Revelations. It was a weird, but really cool show. I did watch Bill Moyers Journal, even though I he was kind of douchey. I haven't had a TV in a few years. Just stream now.

Barf.  Equivalent to neo-Nazi propaganda.

Cool. I can watch select episodes of American Experience on my TV by ChromeCast'ing the web player to my big screen TV. Sadly, I don't get all episodes that way. For that I'll have to tune in on Wednesday nights. And I no longer have access to past episodes of Victoria as a consequence of canceling my Netflix subscription.

I don't know. I've found Nova to be more misses than hits over the past few years. I think the content of shows has gone downhill from where it was when I was young. Perhaps that's just my perception and it's really me who has changed. I feel the same way about Scientific American.
