Another Serial Rapist Caught Via a DNA Website

The civil liberties people would probably have a fit but I personally think it should be mandatory to give a DNA sample to be entered into a national database.

Not just for this reason but it would be easier to identify victims of crimes or disasters.

You know, it never ceases to amaze me how DNA tests conducted seemingly at random can out a historic rapist. Remember Random Task from the first Austin Powers movie?





In 2008, his actor Joe Son was arrested for vandalism, and, as part of his plea bargain, he has to provide a DNA test. And then this happened:





He was linked via his DNA to a gang-rape that happened on Christmas Eve 1990. And this would never have been solved if he didn't randomly get arrested and forced to provide DNA for another random crime.

Funny thing, when he wasn’t acting or raping people, he had a career in Mixed Martial Arts, and the amazing thing is he was in a total of 4 professional MMA fights and one kickboxing. He never won a single match. 1 KO, 1 TKO, 1 blood choke, 1 elbow injury, and 1 where he just chickened out the moment he drew blood. And, with the exception of the Moreira fight, which doesn’t even have a time listed, the sum total length of those five fights is less than “Hey Jude.” Hell, it probably took longer for you to read this post than the total length of his fighting career. What a load. And that’s the whole MMA career of Joe Son. Is there an antonym for “undefeated”? I mean one that conveys that he never won?

Convicted felons here already have to give a DNA sample to the government. Since most felons are repeat offenders some crimes are solved that way.
If The Man (meaning gov't authorities) wants my DNA sample, they'll have to drag me kicking and screaming to get it. And I couldn't care less about what were the ethnicities of my ancestors hundreds of years or millennia ago so I'll never send my DNA into one of those website who claim to determine that for you.
I think there will come a time when most people willingly give up their DNA and we'll all be in a database, but hopefully I'll be long dead by then.

We all came from Africa; where one defines the parting line is up to them. I also agree that I ain't giving up any DNA, in spite of the fact that the statute of limitations has long since run out on those stolen hub caps.
