Maybe keep the wood and change the appliances and turquoise tops to something modern?
Oh, I don't have that turquoise craziness. I wanted to stain the wood. I'm not big on painting it, either. However, I have to compromise with my husband. I keep wood floors and the paneling in my office. He gets to paint over the paneling, which is arguably easier than staining, so there is that. To be fair, the room doesn't get a lot of light, so a lighter color would brighten it up a lot.

Shell B---staining over stain is sooooooooooo much less work than painting over stain. Better chance of a quality, long-lasting end result too.
Where are we going and why am I in this hand basket?

I don't know, but stain does have a way of showing through light paint. Still, I have to give the hubby what he wants or he'll go away.

There is an Atheist Forums slack channel. Oddly enough, I have no idea how you get in.
