If we really wanted to go into the weeds, 14million people, slightly less than half the pop vote in the rep primary, saddled the rest with that noise
14mil is something like 10% of the people who voted in the election. 10% of 50%, ultimately, responsible for the human garbage fire of a president we have now. There's the "hopeful" takeaway, lol.

Ayup, 'years ago'. In this case, it was 1.8 'years ago'. The percentage of people who supported (read 'voted for') Trump in the 2016 election was a little more than 25% of the total electorate.

It's the relatively constant 40% that poll as approving that scare the shit out of me. How anybody can think he's not completely unqualified for the job and showing it daily is beyond me.

If you read that as "40% agree that he's properly triggering the libs" it makes more sense.
Keep in mind, it's a dem that's fundamentally skeptical of government, in their minds, government is always fucking up and can't really do anything -but- fuck up. So, if the orange messiah is fucking up, like he must inevitably be as a part of the government..that's business as usual. His real job is to stick it to the people who they feel have excluded them and stolen their things.

There was another face the west had which longed for racism and chaos. The burn of WW2 was forgotten quickly, and westerners forgot what this ugly face had costed them before.
No constitution can protect from inhumane cons. Trump is my example; and the man proved with utter ignorance that America is both hypocrite and has an obsolete constitution. The power of ignorance won; and it is winning everywhere.
Dark days are coming. Nukes will be used. And this time nobody will survive.
While there is a small grain of truth in your post and I'm very concerned about what is happening in the world, not just here in the US, your post is alarmist and reductive. Remember, Marine Le Pen lost the election and now a French court has ordered her to undergo a psychiatric evaluation as part of an investigation. But then there are other concerns in Europe that you didn't mention in your list.
There were two world wars last century and yet somehow western civilization is still around.
If Homo sapiens goes extinct, I find it far more plausible that it'll be the result of AI not nukes. And to paraphrase the saying, we'll likely end not in a bang but in a whimper.
