I don't ever recall being told "There is no God" as a child.. But I had the good sense to grow out of believing in fairy tales when I was about 9.

Indeed, my parents never even mentioned god or religion to me, ever. My school loosely attempted to indoctrinate me into Christianity at the age of 5, and failed. My critical thinking was already too good to be fooled.

It's only a matter of time before atheists realize that science does not support their worldview. Education is the key! Atheism will continue its current decline in the world and someday soon we may be rid of its pernicious effects on culture and it will be relegated to a footnote as a failure on every level.

This is exactly what atheists say about theists, which is I assume what you were trying to emulate.

But it doesn't work when you just switch atheists/Atheism for theists/Theism.

The only way this could work as satire is if an atheist wrote it to point out how weak the theist position is. Because it's a ludicrous thing to say and absolutely everything about it is incorrect.

It's interesting that I've asked this question of Christian proselytizers more times than I can remember over the past four decades: "If everything that you claim about God and Christianity is so true and so convincing, why do you have to back it up with a threat?" In all that time, I have yet to receive an answer, with the exception of the occasional denial that, "You're going to Hell!" is a threat.
