We consistently pursue our own interests.  The things people do without the knowledge or approval of washington are not our foreign policy.  Even in that short list of politically unstable relationships the value of the saudi regime becomes apparent.

They don't have to be decent people to be useful, and short of regime change or revolution, they're the people in a position to cut deals.

If you want to see consistent foreign policy in the Middle East look to the UK. In the last 120 yars they've had two goals. Between Jackie Fisher and Suez the goal was to secure oil for the RN. After Suez it has been suck up to the US.

The US by contrast has been the proverbial bull in a china shop, with the direction of policy changing on a whim.

There is nobody who done harm to the Middle East more than the U.S and the domestic traitors following it. Britain, France and Russia are rivaling the U.S for the first rank; also.

This was the case since WW1, and the more time goes by, the more the situation becomes even more terrible with these countries' intervention in the domestic affairs of others -not just Arabs-.

Britain gave birth to Israel. The U.S completed the favor by inheriting the British Empire's role and took the support to Israel up to the next level.

The U.S chose "Sunni" Muslims to be its vassal in the region, while Russia chose "Shiite" Muslims to its vassal . And both are sucking Israel's cock in the process, but western powers (under the U.S) deepthroat as an extra -free of charge-.

Name me an Arab dictator, or an Irani dictator, and I'll happily and easily pinpoint the type of western support -or Russian support- he gets according to the ghetto mentality controlling the west's foreign policy.

At least, the European west has some shame still; and it is compensating Arabs by providing better immigration plans than the "Americans" who closed their borders with a wall under Trump, in one insult I have never seen like, raising to the level of brutality.

Yes, you can point to despots with western (and other-than-western) support.  Can you point to some non despotic authority to which all of those powers can redirect their policies? The reality of politics and foreign policy is that sovereign powers deal with each other.
