When it comes to religion it is not a zero sum, either/or/all or nothing/ us vs them game for me.

Just because I do not like Bibi or the current Israeli government, does not mean the Palestinians are getting their support from moderate pluralists either.

Religion WORLDWIDE causes more problems than it claims to solve. Not because all religious people are bad or evil, but because humans are tribal and have far too much of a tendency to see that which is local, and fail to see that religion is a horrible way to conduct political diplomacy, even among the same sub sects of the same umbrella labels.

A Sunni and Shiite do not agree politically for the same reason all Muslims don't agree with Jews. Just like an Obama voting Baptist will not agree politically with a Trump voting Baptist. For the same reason a Tibet Buddhist will not agree on politics with a Chinese Buddhist.

I want Palestinians and Israeli Jews and Christians and Buddhists and Hindus to all get along worldwide. I simply do not agree that viewing local or global politics through the prism of religion is the best way to seek diplomacy.

Jewish Ghettos existed for about one thousand years in Europe before the 20th century. When europeans got sick of em or mad at em, they didnt export but kill the jews in pogroms, again and again. It didnt take europeans a thousand years to realize: "hey, i have a new idea. Instead of opressing and killing them jews, how about exporting them?".

Second: after WWII there wasnt much of a jewish (over) population left to bring to Arabia, and those who were brought there (or: the british helped them go there) went to the Levant and not Arabia afaik. But of course this depends a litte bit on your definition of "Arabia".

Also: "The West" does not claim to be secular, at least most of the countries. France is rather the exception than the norm. Many other europen countries still have no clear division of church and state. Germany is one of them for example.

Finally: What is native to the arabian desert certianly does not depend on religion of said person. Imho it depends on being born and raised there.
After Jerusalem was captured in the 1st crusade a kingom emerged. Many of its inhabitants, even the kings, were born there and raised, and never left the area. Although they were christians, and descendants of christian "immigrants" they were more "native" than not as historic events (and their relationship to constantly newly arriving christians from Europe) showed.
Of curse the state of Israel is promoting a non-inclusive policy as well as the arab groups out there, wich is silly from both sides (imho, by denying the fact that they do live in the same little part of the world now and have to get along or ...well they still seem to choose the latter), but that doesnt make any 2nd or 3rd generation Israeli "not native".

That's what makes the abuse of those regimes so predictable.  OFC they don't have the best interests of their citizenry at heart..and there's nothing that their citizenry can do about that short of castrating them and replacing their regimes with a representative government.  

OFC, representative governments in the middle east appear to be representative of a bunch of retrograde assholes...so, while it seems like an ideological improvement..it isn't guaranteed to be a practical one. MBS, despite being an asshole, actually is more progressive than his contemporaries and, as far as can be told, more progressive than "we the people" of allah-istan....while being no more or less brutal or despotic.
