Yes America HAS done very horrible things in the past. Slavery was horrible, denying women the right to vote was horrible. Genocide of Native Americans was horrible. Black lynchings was horrible. Putting Japanese American citizens in prison camps was horrible. Invading Iraq when Saudi Arabia provided the 19 hijackers was flat out bat shit insane.

No America is not perfect by any stretch. But that does not mean every individual American always agrees with what it's government does.

Just like I don't blame Atlass for what the Saudi Royals do. I don't blame every Jew in Israel for what Bibi does.

But sorry, when you compare the OPPORTUNITY in the west in more open societies to CORRECT mistakes, say verses closed states like North Korea or Saudi Arabia, there is no debate to be had. In those states their populations have far less of a chance of standing up to their rulers than say those in Europe and Canada and America.

I fucking hate Trump so please do not lump me in with that asshole.

But they don't want to throw rocks at their own glass houses. It's easier to put the blame elsewhere.

Hey Brian, don't look now but you got a big bug up your butt.

Yes I do and?

I love my species POTENTIAL for compassion and empathy, and I have run into humans online worldwide who convey that, and read about such humans in our species history. People like Ann Frank and Martin Luther King Jr and Malala are humans we need more of.

But why should I apologize for telling religious individuals to fuck off when they promote violence, oppression and bigotry?

And what would make you think I agree with all atheists all the time just because I blaspheme religion? I have never liked Atheist Ayn Rand and her economic "fuck you I got mine" view.

I HATE that Myanmar's Buddhists are oppressing Muslims. I hate that Sunnis and Shiites kill each other. I hate that Bibi has made Palestine a prison. I hate that Protestants and Catholics in Ireland still to this day have an uneasy truce. I hate that Trump voting evangelicals are only a few election cycles away from turning America into a theocracy.

I don't hate my fellow humans POTENTIAL for non violence and compassion. My fellow humans are QUITE CAPABLE of it when we want to be. I do hate that not enough humans see that religion is a horrible way to conduct political diplomacy, even between the sub sects of the same umbrella labels.

What should matter to humans, are not the differences in our tribal clubs, but in that we are not a separate species.

I am not hard on religion because I think there will be a utopia godless world. I am hard on religion because it should not be the priority of our species outside human rights. It should matter more that we solve world problems such as poverty and pollution and worker stability worldwide.

For all the good religious people claim their respective labels do, it causes more problems than it solves.

Yes I do have a "bug" up my ass  because I know my fellow humans are far better than our bullshit tribalism.

we already have a thread on this subject, was this necessary?
To say any US president has blood on his hands is like saying the sky is blue. Name one who does not? I'll wait here.

As far as I can tell, Trump has never met a tyrant he did not admire. Tyranny is what Trump aspires to!

The world's credability has a price as it seems; and if this proves anything to me, it proves that Saudi Arabia can't pay anymore.

I agree with you that Trump is dangerous, but isn't his whole populous wing is? If we get rid of Trump (and I'm saying "we" because as it seems he is a threat not just to Americans); thousands -if not millions- of populous look-a-likes will jump in to fill his space.
The democratic parties must begin hitting hard on the drums of war, and it begins by adopting cases like Kashoggi's case, and focus too on the fuck ups in the foreign policy that gave Trump and the Sauds a good umbrella to hid behind.

It is up to our intel, if the orange turd would let it's do it's job, which the fucker probably wont considering he bragged about making lots of personal money off doing business with the Saudis. There still is a dispute between Saudi Arabia and Turkey as to who did what, but still. It fucking stinks and the fact that 45 has been vilifying the press and admits to making money with that oppressive theocracy, would not shock me in the least that they looked at his behavior here and thought it was ok because he was vilifying journalists here..

There was leaked info a while back that MBS said "Kushner is in my pocket". The Sauds do not think and act smartly; all they need is the support of a superpower like the U.S, and they will assume that -just like MBS have said-: "Kushner is in my pocker". Probably they think the same about Trump also.

With such mentality, they will do whatever they wanna do, and think the U.S will cover their asses because they paid for that protection. 1 think that tells you Trump is mentally stupid to get involved with these trash.

How this works -- you dislike the current President ( and I do too) find something bad that happened, anywhere in the world - assign blame to US President.

Not realistic - but I suppose it vents your spleen.

....

You've been living under a rock or something?
The first visit Trump made as a president was to Saudi Arabia..

Since the U.S's inheritance of the previously-British vessel, it did nothing but supporting the kingdom year after year. You have a point.

Jimmy Carter

I'm sure he tried harder than any other, but he ordered the rescue of the Iran hostages that went sideways. The way the blood thing works, you ordered it your blood, no matter the reason.
I am and always have been a huge fan of President Carter.

Actually as a Muslim and a Middle Eastern Arab; I can say loud and clear that this region has the evilest, most twisted humans on earth.
It's a place where rights evaporate, literally, and maybe Jamal's murder might show westerners what Arabs live everyday. That's why nobody revolts: everybody is scared.

The opportunity westerners have is one of the reasons I bet on; that my effort when writing these topics would not be in vain, that somebody would read it and move.

That was an accidental plane crash while attempting a rescue mission.  That is hardly "firing a shot in anger."
