Do you and yours wear thermal under clothes when the weather gets cold?

RE: Do you and yours wear thermal under clothes when the weather gets cold?
Heater. We've got a lot of instruments lying about and they tend to not take too kindly to being left in unheated homes during the Chicago winter. Also, have you even tried playing guitar with winter gloves on your fingers? Also, masturbation is not terribly convenient in an unheated home in the winter.

That said, outside, I have a pretty standardised protocol for clothes:
  • Below freezing: Break out the Earmuffs.
  • 32-50: Don't leave home without your leather jacket.
  • 50-68: Plaid shirt and long pants.
  • 68-90: T-shirt and shorts.
  • 90+: Avoid dark clothing.
And then there's two other ends to the scale that don't have clothing recommendations and are more a general "don't go outside (except maybe in a car with AC/Heating on) for longer than you have to.
  • 10 and under: Snowpiercer
  • 95+: Arrakis.

Umm... Sikhs don't have beef with underwear... right?

It doesn't really get cold here. The coldest we go is around 9c. (48f), and even that's in the mornings, rarely, if ever. To top that I have a good tolerance for the cold and terrible tolerance for the heat, so... :/ I think that's pretty self explanatory. (Weirdly enough I know a few people here who do wear thermals even in our crappy excuse for a winter... I wonder how they'd fare if they moved someplace colder. )

It doesn’t usually get that cold here but we use electric heating. I like being able to control the temperature. Unlike with thermal underwear where you just get hotter and hotter until you can’t breathe.

No, it's the exact opposite: Sikhs are expected to wear it at all times, specifically a garment called a Kacchera, which looks like Gym shorts except with a drawstring instead of elastic (apparently to give people time to think about what they're doing while they undo the knot).

It's kind of similar with Mormons, except theirs is more like thermal underwear that's only worn in the Temple (which only happens on special occasions).

Over winter if I'm working outside I wear women's wooly tights under my trousers, they are really warm.

I'm yet to have my respiration impeeded through wearing thermals...if I feel too hot I just take off my hoodie  Huh

I'm actually watching a film about AGW with other Labour Party members this evening and plan to sing the praises of thermals over thermostats.
