Everyone should read that LA Times article in full. Pence is acting more or less as the de facto president on the world stage. Trump's abdication of responsibility is total. No, that isn't news. But the article mentions specific no-shows by Trump at critical international gatherings that had me gaping.

This motherfucker needs to resign or stroke out soon. We cannot afford two more years of this. Pence is an unacceptable Jesus-freak weasel, but the situation is so dire that I'll settle for him in the Oval Office until we can vote his ass out in 2020.

But if his kids get indicted, he might make a deal to let them go and step down. But he is such a selfish prick, even if he makes it to 2020 and loses, it would not shock me if the Secret Service had to drag him out physically.
