I can appreciate this idea especially seeing miserable and desperate state of believers who want endless life and ready to go insane in some sense to attain it.

I've never seen the appeal of an afterlife... It makes no sense to me.

Wouldn't you want more, if even just a few more ordinary years than those already parceled out to you by fate?

Not really. I'm happy to make room for others when I die, whenever that may be... As long as I get a few good healthy years of life after I finish working.

What about you? Do you see it differently?

I have a long history of wanting to end my life, though not for reasons of depression or any negative feelings about life in general. I don't really have any feelings on the matter. I guess I really don't particularly care if I do or I don't. It's hard to put into words, but my own mortality is about as much of a non-issue for me as its possible to be. I just don't even think about the question. Might have something to do with my history as a Taoist and a Hindu, I don't know.

I understood what you meant.  I was simply pointing out that I have no real open and shut conclusions.  I suspect that I will end at my death, but I could be wrong.

I could be surprised by what awaits me on the other side.

Why would it be any different than prior to your birth?

Consciousness is an emergent property of evolution, it does not exist prior to your conception and it will not exist after you die. You literally are your brain in motion, that's it. Just like if you blow up a car engine, the car wont run.

Sorry ladies, heaven is great for men, women not so much.

So anyway guys... it's not just 72 according to this guy.... you're going to need to get out your calculators, and you're going to have a busy afterlife.

As tempting as that may be, Only one at the time, please. Wisdom is slowly working its way into me.
