Just a thought.

Kubrick's version was overrated trash. King's novel was quite good though.
The ABC adaptation of the The Shining wasn't too bad either, IMO. Better than the film, anyhow.

Much closer to the source material then Kubrick's steaming pile of pig poop.

Yeah, I was thinking of the Kubrick one.  I'm not a huge King fan, but I'll watch anything with Jack Nicholson in it.

I'm not that thrilled by the Doctor Sleep trailer. It was an alright book, but I don't think I'll bother going to the theater for it.

Quote:THE WORLD had teeth and it could bite you with them anytime it wanted. Trisha McFarland discovered this when she was nine years old.
At ten o'clock on a morning in early June she was sitting in the back seat of her mother's Dodge Caravan, wearing her blue Red Sox batting practice jersey (the one with 36 GORDON on the back) and playing with Mona, her doll.

At ten thirty she was lost in the woods.

Great Scott! I'd always wondered if anyone would attempt a film adaptation of that.
And it now appears that it's in the works.  Wuuuuuuuuut????Panic

I am losing my fucking mind over this! No trailer yet, but goddamn, I LOVED that novel.

The story's about a kid who becomes irretrievably lost in deep, deep wilderness while hiking the Appalachian Trail with her mom and brother and soon finds herself in the grip of a deadly illness on top of quickly being done in by starvation, exposure, and severe dehydration. Though she's unsure if she's actually being tormented by the sick and malevolent God of the Lost that keeps appearing to her or if she's simply experiencing hallucinations, she does know two things for certain: She is being stalked by something. And that her is number just about up.

And she has nothing but the recollection of a well-meaning, but weak and essentially ineffectual deistic presence her father had speculated on in the past and nonchalantly dubbed The Subaudible-- and a Walkman in which she can occasionally hear the love of her life play baseball--to comfort her as she struggles to survive.

A riveting and beautifully written story. Made me tear up a little bit, tbh.
Just a little bit.

Could've been allergies though, maybe...Lol

I saw on IMDb that director of Ad Astra is now making MASK cartoon into a movie

You know, they have masks.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I mean, if the animals don’t just kill everyone and wash up on shore somewhere they can disembark, that will be a disappointing film.

So, to spare you the agony of waiting for the trailer and going to see the movie, the next Marvel movie will pretty much be this
