So atheists complaining about theists beliefs in God doesn't valdidate ur own belief
U just invalidated the whole atheist view.
So firstly u admit atheism to be a belief despite the objections of some.
Secondly as iv already stated I don't rate beliefs. Their nothing but a hinderance stirred up by feelings and emotion instead of logic.
Thirdly the atheist position is based on complaining about religious gods and so by ur own definition invalidates the atheist position as false.
Hehehehe wat r u guys doing to urselves? Just step back and take a look at the mental gymnastics u are performing
So in a discussion with me ur not an atheist because im not asserting a God
The atheist mask only comes on when talking to religious people. Its such a weak position. I find it worthless for any use than to argue theists
I find it funny that people are resorting to calling me angry. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Who has used foul language? Not me. Multiple atheists
Who has been abusive? Not me. Multiple atheists
Who has resorted to slander? Not me. Multiple atheists
Who has their feathers ruffled? Not me. Multiple atheists
Perhaps u sense some of my frustration at atheists trying to tell me the agnostic position doesn't exist
Or trying to equate my knowledge based position to the atheists belief based position
So whats with the anti religious propaganda anyway? Its fairly heavy for a group of people who claim to have no belief
Is religion all that bad? Does it influence ur life at all? So where is the beef?
I don't have a particular bias that must be applied to atheists and theist as individuals and as they make claims. What I do have a bias towards is when those claims can't be validated through study within the natural world (or universe) or they try to suggest that super natural phenomena can be studied within natural parameters. For example, believing in vampires that turn into bats, ghouls, goblins, or whatever they come up with. I have no problem with someone asserting that it's possible for super natural beings to exist, but if something is super natural, you couldn't likely control it through natural parameters, and even if you could, you couldn't know which ones it could be subject to. For example, saying you're going to study a super natural vampire in a closed room, when the vampire could potentially just walk through a wall. No problem with someone wanting to believe in a God, or some form of "gods" existing that have an attributed value to them by a population. You can really even believe in the "Dracula" creature, but I wouldn't go out of my way to assert it intentionally without proof.
In reality, we all exist with certain biases. Best to just make the best of it and not assume that everybody has to agree with your view, but rather focus on like-minded endeavors as to advance human relationships and scientific study.
You chose to weasel your way out of having your views put to the test instead of answering a simple question, and when I point out the ridiculousness of your behavior and the inconsistencies in your position, you put me on ignore. And here you are peddling the same bullshit in an unrelated thread. Like many of your kind, you have no ethical principles that you won't violate at the drop of a hat if it suits your purpose. You're nothing but a charlatan here to peddle bullshit arguments and passive-aggression against anyone who crosses you.

Umm no he didn't the only way he could do that is prove gods existence anything aside that atheism remains a valid position
Quote:So firstly u admit atheism to be a belief despite the objections of some.
He's been saying that forever despite being wrong about it
Quote:Secondly as iv already stated I don't rate beliefs. Their nothing but a hinderance stirred up by feelings and emotion instead of logic.
Depends on what one means by beliefs are we talking cognitive or propositional belief or emotional belief
Quote:Thirdly the atheist position is based on complaining about religious gods and so by ur own definition invalidates the atheist position as false.
Nope the existence of a god would do that

Nope it "comes on "(implying dishonesty yeah you don't slander people at all ) no matter who i'm talking too

That's heap of assumptions

Because nobody cares about a video of dusty venting it does not mean diddly to me anymore then i imagine a rant by Pat Roberson bothers the majority of theists . But i will say this you clearly barely watched the video .

To answer your questions (I've not watched that particular video, but I've watched many of Steve's) 1) Because he gets a lot of shit from theists. He lives in the deep south where if you're not white, hetero, male and Southern Baptist you're like the scum of the earth. 2) The anger is coming from the shit he gets. 3) Yes. 4) The shit he gets. 5) I don't know, but going on the rest of his posts probably.
I have a question for you though OP; are you here simply to shit-post? Because I can see very little output of value from you.

It's the Internet. How many people do you expect to be an authority on anything? What one person might believe is a doctor could very well be a 13-year-old with some free time using his mommy's iPad. You never know.
My comment was more directed towards people who unjustifiably claim authority when they have none. I'd elaborate further, but my mom said she needs her iPad back.

Sounds good. I tend to agree with you here. As far as you giving mommy back her iPad, my inclination is that it was snarky, but I'll take your word for it anyway.

I am constantly surprised that so many people posting on the internet have such wide-ranging interests these days, and can support their positions with any number of references to books and websites. It seems to me a rather substantial segment of the general population is continuing their education on their own, and that internet discussions are yet another means by which they widen their horizons.
Authority is not something you either have or you don't. Everyone knows certain things to certain degrees. That's what makes these discussions so interesting.

I tend to agree, but there is good and bad with it because not all information is quality information. Epistemology is important and with that in mind, truth can get diluted when people go out of their way to assume or add things, especially when it's a hot topic and debate is expected. As soon as someone starts interjecting bias, then we start to drift away from what it means to be "scientific" since information can be tainted rather than controlled for analysis. All-in-all though, biases and fallacies are pretty normal. Even when you don't want to express something improperly, it's easy to get caught up in an argument and allow emotions to take over.
