Mhm.  I just want to see how long he'll bullshit us.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

You seem to be in love with logical fallacies.  Did you even read the conversation?

The indication is to just ignore you because you base your statements on assumptions and not logic.  If I'm wrong, then feel free to explain why I should apply his personal definition to the general population?  There is no disagreement on his definition applying to himself or those who claim to adhere to it.  (Can't wait to hear this)

Soviet Communism was extremist, for sure. But its extremism was caused by bad dogma, not atheism. All they did was replace the bad dogma of an infallible god, with the bad dogma of an infallible State. Their problem wasn't that they were too skeptical or rational, their problem was they were way too close to being a religion. It is minds operating on the bad software (bad dogma) that causes extremism, not lack of belief in gods.

There is no line that can be drawn from, "I disbelieve in gods" to, "therefore I will become a mass murdering totalitarian dictator". This is disproved by the 2 facts, that there have been many theistic mass murdering dictators throughout history, and there have been atheist leaders who have not been mass murdering dictators.

All atheism is, no matter how much you believe otherwise, is the disbelief in the existence of gods. Full stop.

All the other baggage you are trying to load onto atheism, is ue to your own misconceptions.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

That's your error. You're assuming things that aren't true.

Reality = You lack the authority to define something beyond yourself.  Reality = I lack the authority to define it for you. Reality = Demonstrate an authority to define it and use that definition.  Reality = If that authority confirms your definition, then I can accept your definition without bias.  The other possibility would be for you to demonstrate that you do have authority to define it for everybody it's inclusive to, then I could simply accept it by acknowledging your authority to do so.

Until then, round-n-round.

No one needs to assume anything about you and your insistence in this matter anymore, Max.  There's a mound of shitposts in evidence.   Grats on own goaling your trolling routine.

Meanwhile, atheism concerns one's state of belief in gods.

Communism is your baby.  Own it.

To form an atheist state, the progression is to go from democracy, to socialism, to communism, then us a communist state to cause disarray and destroy itself.  That was Lenin's "end game"  Because once it was destroyed, then the people would be able to rule themselves.  Humanism/Atheism  No "God" or "gods" with man creating his own path without anyone else determining it for him.

Given, most people aren't as fanatical about it today, but the ones who have been historically were extremists.

Secularism is the likely baby of just about every member of this board.  A secular state is a defacto "atheist state".  There's no need to jump through any soviet hoops to get there.

Humanism is about stressing the importance and primacy of mans needs over the desires of the supernatural. As it relates to secularism, it's the notion that a state is best arranged to service the needs of it's people, not some god.

One needn't be an atheist to see the crux of either position, and by brute force of demographics, most humanists and secularists are theists.

Atheism, you see....concerns one's state of belief in gods.

Maybe the problem is that you insist on saying my intent is to troll, when it's not.

There are people who have been kind to me on here, and to this point no problem.  You insist I think a certain way or I must agree with you, then problem.

If people are friendly to me, they get friendly back without exception.  When people are unfriendly, ignorant, or insist that I agree with them, then it can be a short fuse.  If someone believes I'm wrong about something and can objectively demonstrate that I am wrong, then I'll gladly retract my statements and change my view.  That's how I roll 24/7.

Nope. I abhor Communism. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Hey look at that, just one more thing you are wrong about.

Quote:To form an atheist state, the progression is to go from democracy, to socialism, to communism, then us a communist state to cause disarray and destroy itself.  That was Lenin's "end game"  Because once it was destroyed, then the people would be able to rule themselves.  Humanism/Atheism  No "God" or "gods" with man creating his own path without anyone else determining it for him.

So wrong, not even sure where to start.

You don't even understand that democracy is a political system, and socialism is an economic system.

Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland are all democratic countries, and yet they have socialist economic systems.

Quote:Given, most people aren't as fanatical about it today, but the ones who have been historically were extremists.

Still nothing to do with the lack of belief in gods.
