And as far as politics we are as atheists, just as diverse. Ayn Rand valued "Fuck you I got mine" economics. Some atheists value Che, the asshole opportunist who lead to Castro's Cuba. I hate both "Anarchy" and "nanny state" bullshit. I am an anti monopoly advocate, where no sect of society gains a monopoly.

Do u want there to be a God? Any God?

If you were going to make a poll why would he just put . Yes or No as categories .

Here's a better poll:
As Atheists, what are you thoughts on abortion? 1] Unicycles should be banned from our roads 2] All redheads play bagpipes horribly 3] The moon is a death star 4] Fuck all polls trolls

Know God, Know fear. (December 12, 2018 at 8:27 pm)Agnostico Wrote: As I'v already said I don't rate belief. I hold knowledge up as the highest form of truth. One thing that will show up, if people answer your questions here, is what kind of thing they imagine when they picture a God. Most will answer with the concept of a sky-tyrant -- what William Blake called "Nobodaddy." I think it would be great if something like Plato's God existed. As for politics, I am extreme left wing.
A god would be nice - if at services when they passed the plate - you got to take some cash, rather than the other way round.....
And tax free, would still be nice.
OP, nope. Why would I need a god?
But what is more interesting is why you seem to need a god. Can you shed some light of the necessity of a god(s)? And your poll does not even come close to covering the political spectrum, extremely limited. Your ability to gather knowledge seems to be impaired. So in answer, I am neither.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
I knew Wyzas was an extreme moderate! HA!

Know God, Know fear.
I suppose that if you could demonstrate a god that actually did good things....saved starving babies, protected people from harm and abuse, cured/eliminated diseases, etc then I might be interested. But as it stands right now, it looks like if there's a god...it's doing absolutely nothing about anything.
Also, I can't really answer your poll, I'm a Conservative Canadian, which would still put me to the left side of the American Democrats, so I think your poll is a bit too simplistic to be of any use on forum with an international membership.

"If we're going to be damned, let's be damned for what we really are." - Captain Picard
Well, if He’s actually willing and able to fix things when He fucks up, maybe a God wouldn’t be so bad.
Meanwhile, in reality, we have a world that’s a dumpster fire, not only because of global warming (which many scientists are starting to think is too big a problem to solve), but also because, well, the extremists are winning, and in the process, we’re turning into a behavioral sink (not sure if the rise in extremism is a cause or a symptom of this, though.) To paraphrase David Hume apparently quoting Epicurus, “Is God willing to prevent this disaster, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh this horseshit? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?” And barring any actual evidence that there actually is a higher power (apart from the Government and whoever runs its railroad agenda), this remains a powerful indictment.
