What's your phobia?

RE: What's your phobia?
I read a post a while back where the poster would NEVER drink anything brewed in a Keurig, because they had a "secret" chamber where water was stored. I gathered that this was a "germ" phobia but the poster wouldn't say if it had a name.

A fear of heights isn' t a phobia.

Phobias are irrational fear of something.

Avoidance of danger is clearly rational.

..

A fear of clowns is irrational.

Unless the clown in question is John Wayne Gacy.

When you freeze with fear and could literally be cut into pieces before you would move, that's a phobia.

Then I suppose I qualify.  I have been known to lose consciousness when in proximity to a horse, so cutting me to bits wouldn't be difficult.

Thinking about it, having a fear of heights is irrational when you take into account that we are on a tiny ball flying through space.

Heights (flying, specifically), and I also have a major case of trypophobia - an aversion to the sight of irregular patterns or clusters of small holes, or bumps.

Makes me want to simultaneously scream and vomit.

You're the second person I've met online who has that reaction.
