The "wisdom from above" is teachings from the Holy Spirit to those who seek to have an understanding of God and His work through Jesus. Seeing how God is above all things and beyond our understanding the only place we can attain wisdom about Him is from Him. God knowing all things is the standard for wisdom, man knowing little about things can't be the standard unless you are satisfied to accept less, this is what earthly, unspiritual, demonic wisdom is and it is bitter jealousy and self ambitious, boasting and being false to the truth because you can't have the wisdom revealed by God unless you know God the Son. You see what the scriptures that were quoted are say is spiritual, not earthly, though the spiritual wisdom can and should be applied to earthly living. But then that want happen when it gets in the way of those who would rather live their lives for themselves than for God and other people, you know that "bitter jealousy and self ambition thing you seem to be tripping over. I see - it's magic. Got it. Thanks for clarification.

I believe the discussion was about the bible promoting reason and logic. You just proved my point - the bible doesn't want you to be rational. It wants you to believe in fairies and get your knowledge from mentally ill people and frauds... Hehe

Interestingly my wife uses "wisdom" when describing what is received from the spirit world by her and others.

What it looks like to me is that they just have a bit of a think then talk among themselves and all agree.

First of all you sound like a second grader. The Bible is a book and does want nor demand anything from you, understand. You will never know the logic involved until you come to know God so you have no leg to stand on because you have no understand. On the other hand I use to be somewhat like you so I know your reasoning and can testify to it and it is not sound reasoning. Please learn the other side before you criticize it.

Get some glasses and look closer. Actually I have no idea what kind of spirit world you are talking about since you did no elaborate.

What you are talking about is indoctrination and fanaticism: when you jump to conclusion before looking at the facts and if you decide to stick to it you can make anything seem "true". Like, for instance, flat Earth: if someone decides that he believes in flat earth than there is nothing you can do to dissuade him. You can send him into space and tell him "look through the window" and he does and sees Earth is round but claims it's not a real window but LCD monitor that is showing round Earth.

That's like it is with you. No matter what you'll always believe that everything in the Bible is true no matter how wrong it is and there are plenty of wrong things in the Bible.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Yes, I'm sorry - I was trying to make my point more accessible to someone at your intellectual level. I know, it's still way too difficult for a creationist, but 2nd grade is the best I can do for you - I don't have a special needs education degree...

Really? You mean - you used to be able to handle logic, science and English grammar? What happened - did you have a stroke? Or were you bitten by a radioactive dumb-ass?... Hehe

If there was "the other side", then all of you god-bothering fools could at least agree among yourselves. As it stands - there are thousands upon thousands of "other sides", because if you're not bound by facts, or logic, every simpleton can make up their own magical sh*t. Sort out your own "side", before you try to talk down to people, who paid attention in school...

I have the understanding God has given me and I give Him all the credit, learning from an omniscient mind is awesome.

No, I came to know the God of creation, you know the one who knows everything, unlike some I know who believe they know everything.

You mean like those who believe in the unseen and unproven dark matter and dark energy and black holes. You know I see a connection in these names and the non belief you all have "dark and black" just like Satan wishes for you. You are the ones being fooled and by an unseen entity, so it seems to me you have a bit of foolishness to account for.

There's nothing wrong in the Bible you have been indoctrinated into believing so instead of finding out own your own. Jumping to conclusions belongs to the likes of you, saying you know black holes exist and that they have profoundly contributed to the universes development. Believing in the unseen and unproven dark matter and dark energy and educating young minds on how it effects the universe. Science of this kind is no science at all, it's story telling at it's finest. I have never seen someone prove the Bible is wrong.

At work.

Hello God's Chisen.

Uhm... sorry going to go with GC from here on out.

So. While neither of us are astronomers, why is it that you think said folks are speaking bunk about things such as black holes and dark 'Stuff'?

Cheers.
