He is totally untrustworthy, despite and deceit with a touch of hatred thrown in is his game. This is all I have to or need to say on the subject of a BE.

Give us some examples and why you disagree with him. Include citations from scholarly sources.

Bart was a respected biblical scholar when he was a Christian. Check out his credentials.

However, he became an apostate and atheist, so is now in bad odour with believers. He's very lucky Christians are no longer allowed to burn people alive, he'd be toast .  Cool .

At the 300+ major universities across North America, do you believe Professor Ehrman's views to be atypical?

Probably not with many, it's all about position, power and appearance in this day and age, most would not speak up against his views to save themselves problems down the road.

Testing to see if I've read any of Ehrman, just ask  our resident minimalist here he emailed some books to read and we discussed one. For you I'm not going to go through that junk again, if you do not want to believe I've read Ehrman then so-be-it.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

I have not questioned whether or not you have read Ehrman's books. What I challenged you to do is justify your outrageous claims that his work is deceitful and untrustworthy. If you are unable or unwilling to do so after making such derogatory claims in an open forum, you are nothing less than a slanderer who should be banned from this website.

I am not required to defend my opinion on any subject though I do on most, however, with Ehrman I do not need to because he not I is deceitful. Like I said I'm not going to reread trash to satisfy you, I've said all I need to as per the question posed by the OP.

So, you think that these scholars are being consciously dishonest?

I certainly hope not!  Our dialogue with GC and others like him is too important!  By the way, I used to think as GC does.

Yes for the most part, they read scripture the way they see fit and never connect the dots so to speak, they ignore the many connections within scripture that are separated by hundreds and even thousands of years. As far as I see it willful ignorance is the same as consciously dishonest.

Difference between you and gc is that he's simply trolling the site. I'd say that when you were fundagelical you at least displayed a willingness to listen and were, at least subconsciously, open to persuasion. The only voices gc listens to are self generated.
