She swears that when the got back into the car, all the coins were neatly stacked in the cupholder in the centre console - none on the floors or seats.

That's weird. A spirit with OCD maybe?

I had some OBEs and stuff like that when I was younger. I once walked around the house for a good minute, walked back to my bedroom, and saw myself lying in bed. Then I saw something moving for me and shook myself to wake up before it could catch me.

I thought I saw a ghost. Twice; once when I was about 15, the other around age 25. I've thought about it over the years., deconstructing the experiences:

Each time I was in bed ,and woke from a fairly deep sleep, so my mental acuity was almost certainly compromised. What I actually saw, each time: A blob of light, which seemed roughly human shaped. I live in the city. There is almost always a light source somewhere.

Simple explanation; It was a person with a torch or perhaps a car head light. My human need for order kicked in, trying to make sense of the event. I really don't know for a fact, but am fairly confident it wasn't ghosts.

Driving on a long street with lots of intersections. I thought "I better take it easy, some idiot could come belting out of one of those streets." Immediately slowed down to about 30 kph. Seconds later ,a car did indeed come speeding out in front of me. Scared the hell out of me. (the scare is important)

This is a bit more interesting. On first glance it seems like a clear case of precognition.

Simple answer: Many people have premonitions all the time.. Almost all do not come true, but those are forgotten, only the very rare' hit' is remembered., especially if it was a bit dramatic. Not paranormal, just normal human psychology.

I've had hypnagogic hallucinations twice. Shit felt paranormal as fuck. Really, it was just my body sorting out the wake/sleep chemistry backwards.

My experience was like Losty's.

I stayed in a house where the previous occupant had died in the spare bedroom. A friend of the current occupent had stayed in the room and swire he woke up to see an old lady standing in a corner watching him.

I was looking forward to staying and seeing something spooky. I woke up just after midnight and saw a figure in that corner. It was still there a couple of hours later when I woke up again.

I got up, turned on the light, abd found it was an old style coat stand with a coat hung over the top.

Disappointed.

Everyone said grandmother's house was haunted, by a little boy. I never experienced anything like that.

I would chalk the "light being" up to hynagogic hallucinations which is what @"ShellB" mentioned. I've experienced this once... I once woke up and saw a girl in a pink sweatshirt standing in my basement looking at me. Obviously it was just a hallucination, but for a split second it felt very real and freaked me the hell out.
If you're frightened of dying, and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the Earth.

Perhaps they meant only when you visited?
