Do you have any paranormal experineces?

On the off-chance that someone here has experienced some "paranormal happenings," would you like to share your experiences here?

I've always been interested in the idea of ghosts/possessions/demons etc. even though I don't actually believe in any of it. I've talked to a few people in real life who claimed to have paranormal experiences or to have seen ghosts but I never felt like their stories added up and suspected one or two people to just be saying things for attention. One of the girls who told me was a known drama queen and I wrote it off as her just wanting attention from people.

What I'm interested in is people who have legitimately experienced things they can't explain; if anyone here has stories like that, share them here.

My mother told me that she was driving down a street when her passenger said, "Stop". They went to the house and they stopped and knocked on the door. A woman answered and said to my moms friend, "you're are the Ghost!" She said, "I know, but I'm just sleeping". She was OBE put had no control. She just kept haunting that very large house when she slept and didn't know why! So then, Ghosts are just people sleeping, OBE, and have no knowledge that they are haunting! I've experienced this as a haunter before and can tell you hilarious stories but, I'm confused without answers. But I'm close, really, really close!

Paranormal? I trust that everything is natural but much is preternatural. Natural yes, just really, really hard to explain. And supernatural is just plain stupid.

My squad got circled by something that didn’t show up on thermal or nv on patrol in a legit graveyard of a mountain in the balkans. We figure it must have been fast and small and just making a shitload of noise for its size. Maybe a snake or a rodent in deep leaf. Plus it was the middle of the night and we were always pretty jittery up on that rock. Had us clutching our rifles and laying awake all the same. Not as cool as most “paranormal” stories.... but I suspect that something similar is at play, in reality.

If this were true then every ghost would be dressed in modern clothing/nightwear, you wouldn't see any ghosts dressed in civil war era clothing or any other past era for that matter. I'm afraid your mothers anecdotal account of a ghostly OBE encounter is just like any other regular paranormal claim its big on story but short/non existent on evidence.

Dude, I just replied to a post anecdotal or not. Do you understand preternatural? Or, do you believe in the supernatural? Do you believe in theology? Do you believe in science? All belief systems are LAME! I TRUST in God and nature and can prove nature exists!

While I encourage everyone to think critically and evaluate claims of paranormal activity for themselves, my intention in creating this thread was not necessarily to debunk the experiences of others. I simply wanted to see what types of paranormal experiences atheists/agnostics have either had or know about that maybe lack some sort of natural explanation. Surely, all paranormal experiences have some sort of natural explanations and many of them can be easily debunked. This was more meant to explore those instances where otherwise skeptical individuals were left stumped by specific events that happened in their lives.

While I encourage everyone to think critically and evaluate claims of paranormal activity for themselves, my intention in creating this thread was not necessarily to debunk the experiences of others. Fair enough although most sensible skeptics will say that while they have no explanation that's a far cry from saying psychic phenomena is genuine cos we can debunk till the cows come home and I suspect will always be able too. Just because we do not know how a trick is performed doesn't mean it isn't a trick and we should never be afraid of saying so because it helps reduce people being conned, I never pass up an opportunity to debunk for that very reason

Absolutely all of that is basically crap designed to obfuscate and win on an argument I've heard of everything but preternatural is to my mind no different to supernatural its a made up word probably to prop up a made up argument. I understand what theology means and I don't believe in any of it. You don't need to prove nature exists everything around us is testament to this. If ALL belief systems are lame yours is too because you have one regardless of what you think and say. Basically your full of pooh.

You know about a year ago I was driving a bike and passed by a woman that seemed to have completely black eyes, no white part at all. I guess I should have stopped and looked at her closely.
