Powder is kept in a horn or flask so it can be poured down the barrel.
How are you going to pour out of the buttstock into the barrel? It 'd be a good trick.
The buttstock compartment is for storing patches, lube and balls.

In the past year, I've picked up a nice piece of pewter by the Keswick School of Industrial Art for 50p and a Peugeot pepper mill for £2.
Together, they are worth north of £200.
I don't know whether I need a bottle in front of me or a frontal lobotomy.
