We know the sun warms. But that is all accounted for in the models.

By the way the sun is currently going through a "cooling phase" so earths temperature should be descreasing.

So this is what we know. 
We are pumping carbon dioxide into the atmosphere at the same time as destroying carbon capture mechanisms. 
Carbon Dioxide is one of the more potent green house gasses so it is inevitable that the results of our actions are warming the earth.

If what we were we were doing wasn't warming the planet then what we know about the carbon cycle and its effects would be wrong, but it isn't.
