Again --- Slack is not officially affiliated with this forum in any capacity.
Any one of you can make a free Slack team and create your own 'clique'. The Slack team we created was literally a place where a bunch of people from the forum who wanted to hang out and chat in real time could do so. It's not subject to all of the rules of the forum, especially not the rules of banning. Removing people from slack is intentionally subjective. I don't know why people have this idea that Slack is the forum and vice versa. It is not the case. It never has been.
It will be a place where the people who want to be there feel comfortable. If you make it uncomfortable, you're out. If you can't, after months of being there, figure out that we're not going to tolerate people casually dropping n-bombs, that's on you. Read the room.
Anybody who wants to join and has been a member for 60 days is welcome to join. PM me or create a QFS thread. It's not a riddle. Be nice, be thoughtful, be friendly, and you'll fucking love it.

Why anyone would want to say or type that word is beyond me. Fucking stupidity of the highest order. It ain't something to be taken lightly, it's fucking offensive and anyone using it fucking knows it.
Defend your 'free speech' all you like but think about the wider picture. It isn't all about you.

I missed this part before. So I wanted to respond to this. I never had any problem with you and I never disliked you. I disagreed with you. And I thought my first comment in this thread was a calm collected genuine opinion that wasn’t rude to you, so I was a bit peeved when your response to my post was so...dickish for lack of a better term. To say I don’t like you is a bit much though, i don’t like how you take things out of proportion. I don’t like how you think it’s ok to use a slur as a joke and then when people respond badly you act like it’s some conspiracy against you. I don’t like that you think an actual slur is comparable to something that could be interpreted as an insult (but is not generally used as an insult).
So, I disagreed with you. I think you’re wrong on a lot of points in this discussion. But there was never a point where I or anyone else was like “I don’t like Jorm, let’s get rid of her”. That never happened. It was more like “I don’t like our relaxed, fun chat space being ruined by racial slurs...maybe a break is in order.
ETA- lol. Actually my second comment was good. My first comment was totally rude. But I still think it was justified. My point remains, I never disliked you. I just disagreed with your opinion.

Oh yeah. I looked for a way to get into Slack a while back and had no luck.
How do you enter those hallowed grounds? And what's the secret handshake to get in there?

I'm trying to avoid this thread for the time being, and I have additional comments to make, but if slack is indeed independent of the forum, then your decisions about members' status on the forum, and questions such as whether they are members of the forum, or have requested to be removed from the forum are not relevant to said decisions. You're trying to have it both ways. Slack isn't a part of AF, but a person can be removed from slack based on their behavior on the forum.
And with that, I'm likely out for the next day as I have things to attend to, and this has been very stressful.
Oh, and Losty, I accept that you don't dislike me and are not acting on such feelings, but disliking me for my behavior and opinions amounts to about the same thing. I'm happy to engage you in a rational discussion of the issues, but this seems to me to be something more. And for what it's worth, I told my nurse about my, "Whassup, nigger?" comment and she found it very funny. So while you personally may not find it funny, likely because of political and other disagreements, I think you were simply wrong saying it wasn't funny. And before you accuse my nurse of being someone likely to engage in behavior that is dehumanizing and controlling towards blacks, I suggest you just don't.
