Here’s my basket, mostly curated from WalMart (plus three things of Peeps from Jewel), and a first edition of Sexual Personae I got from Half-Price Books yesterday for $30 (the most I’ve paid for a book in a long time.)

Happy Easter everyone!
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Hey! What a great idea! Resurrection Day. The day we resurrect all the dreams we let die in the past. The things we put on the shelf. The self improvement plans moldering in the graveyard of some day.

Before this day is over, I challenge each of you to think of one thing you'd like to uncover, dust off, and put on the front burner of your life. Start with just one thing that you can focus on and then do it.

This is also a great day to give your new year's resolution a booster shot.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers.

Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.

Hmm...I've often toyed with the idea of saying fuck it all, and retiring super-early to Costa Rica.
Maybe it's time to start thinking about thinking about thinking about that again.

For real this time!

So much money, so little time to spend it.
What is a healthy, rich, lonely young man supposed to do?
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

There not one insult, but, fuck me, it's like going paddling with wellies on.

Why would I have to prove that, when virtually all scholars religious or otherwise in the relevant fields already agree and accept the historicity of Jesus to a degree of attestation better than most historical figures from antiquity?  And if you still need some proof or evidence.......watch the video.  It's right there.  I can pretty guarantee that you won't, but that'd be my advice.
Your first point is false and Apologetics  arguments for the resurrection and historicity of Jesus has already been refuted . Your simply pushing propaganda .

That was the most convoluted denialism I've seen today. You have an agenda, the people who claim Jesus was better documented than Caesar have an agenda. You are NOT better than other people.
I love how he can just stack claims on top of other claims and doesn't believe he needs to defend it .

Honestly, I’m surprised it took me this long to remember this clip:

And for those of you not familiar with The Young Ones, this scene actually makes less sense in context.

Not anyone whos ever critically looked at the evidence and consensus doesn't equal true if it did the consensus would never change .
