James Ransome, 46.

He played Ziggy Sobotka on The Wire, the adult version of Eddie from It, the cheating pimp boyfriend in Tangerine and also this role in Ken Park, which is probably one of the most morally disgusting characters I've ever seen in a film.

It only gets worse from here.

Buddy the Beefalo. Beefalo who became famous in 2020 when he escaped from a slaughterhouse in Connecticut and then evaded capture for eight months. The Plymouth Police then bought him from his previous owner, and set him to live on a farm. He was 7.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Quote:PARIS (AP) — Brigitte Bardot, the French 1960s sex symbol who became one of the greatest screen sirens of the 20th century and later a militant animal rights activist and far-right supporter, has died. She was 91.

Bardot died Sunday at her home in southern France, according to Bruno Jacquelin, of the Brigitte Bardot Foundation for the protection of animals. Speaking to The Associated Press, he gave no cause of death, and said that no arrangements had been made for funeral or memorial services. She had been hospitalized last month.

I honestly have to admit I thought she'd gone years ago.

I had too. And to be honest, after reading about her later-life right-wing stuff, I'm not put out.

I've only just learned that science fiction author Matthew Mather, was killed in an automobile accident on Sep. 13 2022 at just 52 years of age. His stories are the type that stay with you long after you've turned the final page. His Atopia Chronicles alone place him among the best of the modern sci-fi writers, and while he may never be considered among the greats of the genre, he at least deserves a mention in that conversation.

Rest in peace, Mr. Mather. And, know that you'll be missed!
